Hey guys! I know I haven't posted much recently and I apologize, I have heard about Google getting rid of Google Reader and although I haven't fully researched it out to know if it really has any effect on my blog personally I have decided to get Bloglovin. I have seen alot of other nail bloggers switch over to it and I really like it.

I do plan on doing more research because I want to find something that is beneficial for me and you guys as well. I would like you to be able to follow me and I woud like to have more interaction with you guys so if you have any suggestions please feel free to share :)

SPRING NAIL ART USING SINFUL COLORS SUGAR RUSH

I am so excited to show you guys my first Spring design for this year! I am in LOVE with it!! :P I started off doing this design for a contest on Instagram, and even though I wasn't one of the finalists for the contest, it is my absolute Favorite!!

I started off by painting my thumb, pointer and ring fingers with Sinful Colors, Snow Me White and then painted my middle finger with Cotton Candy and my pinkie with Sugar Rush. After waiting for 2 coats to dry I started with my pointer finger and using Cotton Candy, Sugar Rush, Snow Me White and Silky Polish, Tussah Sunglow (which isn't very noticeable) I did a water marble. While I waited for that to dry I used my dotting tools to add white dots to my middle and pinkie fingers. Once those 3 fingers were dry I quickly added a top coat of Seche Vite so that I would not be able to mess up the nails :P (because I probably would have cried lol).

For the flowers you can use any color you would like, just pick a light shade and a darker shade of the same color. For the darker shades I used Essie, Ole Caliente, Ulta, Celebutante, China Glaze, Sky High-Top and Sinful Colors, Sugar N Spice. Start with the center of your flower (I used Silky Polish, Tussah Sunglow) and using each color and my striping brush I created five petals. Once those colors were dry I took the lighter colors (Sinful Colors, Orange Cream, Sweet Tooth, Sugar Rush and Cotton Candy) and did the exact same thing over the top of the darker colors leaving a little bit of the darker color showing at the edge of each petal. Then using O.P.I. Hot Fun in the Summerlime and my striping brush I painted stems/vines and a few leaves in the empty spaces. Once that dried I used Sinful Colors, Innocent and filled in the leaves the same way I filled in the flowers. For the final touch I added China Glaze, Fairy Dust (If you do not own this polish you need it! It is a polish that if you don't quite feel like your nail design is finished, you add one coat of this and it pulls everything together!). Then apply your top coat and your done!

I hope those instructions are simple enough to follow for those of you who would like to try this design :) I have to admit even though this design looks complicated, it was easier to do than it looks.

What do you guys think!? Please feel free to comment below and let me know your thoughts! :) Do you like it? Would you wear this on your nails?

SPRING DESIGN USING SUGAR RUSH AND SWEET TOOTH

Hello everyone! So I've noticed with the release of the Sinful Colors Sugar Rush Collection everyone wants them! They are the hot polishes right now that everyone wants their hands on! I still have to go buy Unicorn but I am so happy I was able to buy them when I did. I wouldn't want to miss out on these fun polishes!

The other day I posted a blog post of my swatches of the collection, I hope you all were able to see them :) If not you can check them out here. But today I would like to show you the second design I've done using some of the colors from the collection (to see the first design I did, click here).

I think I will be calling this my 'Abstract Spring Design' :P I have done this design using different colors on my toes before (picture at the bottom of this post) and I was finally able to find the Youtube video that inspired me!! Its by Love4Nails :)

The two Sinful Colors polishes I used were Sugar Rush and Sweet Tooth and the silver is by Revlon, called Silver Dollar. Then using acrylic paint I painted all of the stripes and added the dots with my smallest dotting tool. I hope you guys like this design as much as I do, and I apologize, I know the picture of my toes isn't the best picture, but it was the only one I had. If anyone happens to try this design please show me at my Facebook page, www.facebook.com/playfulpolishes, or tag me on Instagram @playfulpolishes.

(P.S. I would love more feedback from you guys so please feel free to comment, let me know what you think :) If you like my designs or if you have any suggestions, I would love to hear your thoughts!)

SINFUL COLORS SUGAR RUSH COLLECTION (SWATCHES)

Hi everyone! :) So I am really excited to show you guys my swatches of the Sinful Colors, Sugar Rush Collection. I was super excited to buy this collection because this is the first time I have ever bought a full collection of nail polish before...and I had a coupon for a dollar off of each bottle :D I bought 8 colors for $8!! That's crazy because the polish is such great quality!

Anywho, here they are :)

Orange Cream- This color is stunning! It's my first peach color and I love it! It has a really pretty shimmer to it :) I had to use 3 coats to get the coverage I wanted because it has such a thin consistency, so this isn't a color to stamp with, but I will definitely try stamping over the top of it.

Cotton Candy- I have so many pink colors that they are all starting to look the same to me :P But this one is beautiful and different than the other pink colors I own because it has a shimmer also. The consistency of this polish is semi-thin...although, it's not quite as thin as the Orange Cream, I still needed to apply 3 coats (I probably could have gotten away with 2 coats).

Sugar N Spice- Of all of the pink polishes I own, this is one of my new favorites! It's a beautiful shimmery, opaque pink. I was surprised that I only needed to apply one coat of this polish, so I think this will be a good polish to stamp with (when I try it out I will let you know).

Sweet Tooth- This light, shimmery purple has a very similar consistency to the Orange Cream polish, it's very thin. I needed to apply 3 coats to my nails, so just like the Orange Cream I won't be stamping with this color but I will stamp over the top of it.

Candy Coated- This purple is very different than most of the other purple polishes I own, I would say it has more of a blue undertone. It's really a very unique purple that also has a shimmer to it, and the consistency is very milky, I applied 3 coats (even though I could have gotten away with 2).

Sugar Rush- For anyone who knows me or follows me on a regular basis, you probably know by now that I love blue polish! So I think this blue is absolutely gorgeous! Even though it has a semi-thin consistency, it's still pretty opaque, and I only needed to apply 2 coats of this color.

(I apologize the lighting isn't very good, I was fighting to get the last little bit of daylight when I took these photos lol).

Sweet Nothing- Another beautiful, opaque blue. I only needed to apply one coat of this color, so I think this will be a great color for stamping :)

After buying this collection and seeing other nail bloggers who bought it, I realized that the Walgreen's I bought these at didn't have Unicorn, which is the yellow color of this collection :( They had put out a different color to fill the display, so I bought Rise & Shine instead of Unicorn. I am really upset about not having the whole collection (and don't worry I will be going back to buy Unicorn as soon as I can), but Rise & Shine is a beautiful color.

(Matte Finish)

Rise & Shine- Even though this color isn't part of the Sugar Rush collection, I am happy I found it. The color is Stunning!! (Sadly, the pictures don't do this any justice, so if I get a chance soon I will try to get a better picture). The thing that makes this color so beautiful, is the shimmer it has, I immediately thought of a Mermaid's tail when I applied the color over my nails. I only needed to apply one coat and when it dried, I was surprised that it had a matte finish. This is the second polish from Sinful Colors I have bought that has dried with a matte finish, and I love it!!

So there you have it! The (almost) entire collection of Sugar Rush (+one)!! I wish you could see the shimmer in the pictures but I guess that just means you will have to go out and get the collection for yourself to see it :) I don't think anyone will complain about that :P
