CHINA GLAZE HOLIDAY CONTEST

I know that I've overloaded you guys with things to read today :P But I do want to ask you guys for a favor. I submitted this design into the China Glaze Holiday Contest and I would really appreciate it if you would take a minute to vote for my design :) To vote click on the picture below.

When voting you will be asked to vote for 3 designs and I believe there are over 500 entries, so if you have a few minutes make sure you take your time to go through them all and vote for your favorites. You will only be able to vote once and you will also be asked to enter your email, this is just so you can verify your votes. Voting ends on December 31st so you do have some time if you don't have time today.

Again I would really appreciate it! Thank you in advance and please share this post, check out my Facebook and share the link. I would love to have as many votes as possible! Have a great day!!

TWELVE DAYS OF CHRISTMAS NAIL ART: CHRISTMAS ANIMALS

So after I did this design I realized I skipped Day 11, which is Decorations...don't worry I will get to it. :) Plus I think you will love this design. I didn't do the typical Christmas animals (penguins, reindeer, polar bears, etc), I decided I wanted to do some Mickey and Minnie Mouse nails. I know they are much more than animals, but I think it still qualifies :)

I am in love with these! I was planning on entering this design into the China Glaze Holiday Contest but they said it needed to be original work and I did needed some help with Mickey and Minnie, so I watched this YouTube video. I didn't want my design to be disqualified for any reason. Although I did think of this design and it is original, I probably could not have done Mickey and Minnie without looking at something.

The base color for this design is China Glaze, Re-Fresh Mint with one coat of Fairy Dust over the top, and everything else is done with acrylic paint.

What do you guys think about this design? Do you love it as much as I do? :) Please let me know what you think!

TWELVE DAYS OF CHRISTMAS NAIL ART: BELLS

Jingle bells, Jingle bells, Jingle all the way! :P I was inspired by @ruthsnailart on Instagram for this design and I love it! ...Obviously, or I wouldn't have done it lol. She was very creative with this design. Idk if I would have thought of this on my own, but I'm glad she did!

I started off with a base coat of Savvy, White Pearl and covered it with one coat of China Glaze, Fairy Dust. Then using O.P.I., Black Onyx I created the outline for the bell. The bell is colored using China Glaze, Passion, and the rest of the design is all acrylic paint.

I hope you guys like this design and if you're on Instagram stop by and check out @ruthsnailart :) Follow her and show her some love!

TWELVE DAYS OF CHRISTMAS NAIL ART: FESTIVE COLORS/GLITTER

Sorry for the delay on this post, I have been busy doing alot of nail art so I do have some fun stuff to show you guys!

This post is Glitter nails and I think glitter speaks for itself and doesn't really need much art work over the top :) So I decided to keep this design really simple.

Aren't these colors gorgeous together! They are both China Glaze polishes, the green is Winter Holly from last years Christmas collection, and the gold is Angel Wings.

TWELVE DAYS OF CHRISTMAS NAIL ART: FOOD

When I think of nail art, I don't think about food. And when I think about food, I don't think about nail art...so this theme kind of threw me for a loop. I actually had to think on it for a couple days. I've seen people do fruit on their nails which is really cute, but I figured with this theme it was meant to be festive food...I've seen a few people paint turkeys on their nails and as cute as that is I just didn't really want to put that much time into this design...so what did I end up doing?? Gingerbread men and Candy canes!

Sure you might say that Gingerbread men and Candy canes aren't exactly food...more a dessert, or candy. But still, you can eat it, therefore it Is food! :P (I just have to justify it hahah).

The only 2 polishes I used for this design are China Glaze, Red Satin (from 2012 Christmas set) and Street Chic. I added all of the lines with white acrylic paint and then added some rhinestones for the Gingerbread man's buttons.

This design is so simple and cute! What do you guys think?

TWELVE DAYS OF CHRISTMAS NAIL ART: SNOW/WINTER

This design was inspired by a design I did for Christmas last year, which you can see here. I debated on redoing the exact same design but decided to switch it up just a little bit and I am so happy with how it turned out!

The trees took my quite awhile to do, but I love the way they look! They are so cute! I think once I got the hang of them this design turned out to be pretty simple. I used China Glaze, Up All Night as my base color, Sinful Colors, Snow Me White for the snow and snowman, China Glaze, Street Chic and a green acrylic paint for the trees and then a black, orange and red acrylic paint for the rest of the snowman.

For the falling snow I used the Glitter placement technique, which if you don't know what that is it's just what it sounds like, placing glitter where you want it. The glitter I used is a polish by Julep called Paris. I haven't ever tried this technique before but it is actually quite simple and fun. I hope to find more reasons to try it out ;)
