FACEBOOK GIVEAWAY (CLOSED)

Just a heads up, my Facebook Giveaway is now closed! The winner has been posted and will have until Thursday morning to claim her prize. Thank you to everyone who entered! :)

SINFUL COLORS SUGAR RUSH COLLECTION (SWATCHES)

Hi everyone! :) So I am really excited to show you guys my swatches of the Sinful Colors, Sugar Rush Collection. I was super excited to buy this collection because this is the first time I have ever bought a full collection of nail polish before...and I had a coupon for a dollar off of each bottle :D I bought 8 colors for $8!! That's crazy because the polish is such great quality!

Anywho, here they are :)

Orange Cream- This color is stunning! It's my first peach color and I love it! It has a really pretty shimmer to it :) I had to use 3 coats to get the coverage I wanted because it has such a thin consistency, so this isn't a color to stamp with, but I will definitely try stamping over the top of it.

Cotton Candy- I have so many pink colors that they are all starting to look the same to me :P But this one is beautiful and different than the other pink colors I own because it has a shimmer also. The consistency of this polish is semi-thin...although, it's not quite as thin as the Orange Cream, I still needed to apply 3 coats (I probably could have gotten away with 2 coats).

Sugar N Spice- Of all of the pink polishes I own, this is one of my new favorites! It's a beautiful shimmery, opaque pink. I was surprised that I only needed to apply one coat of this polish, so I think this will be a good polish to stamp with (when I try it out I will let you know).

Sweet Tooth- This light, shimmery purple has a very similar consistency to the Orange Cream polish, it's very thin. I needed to apply 3 coats to my nails, so just like the Orange Cream I won't be stamping with this color but I will stamp over the top of it.

Candy Coated- This purple is very different than most of the other purple polishes I own, I would say it has more of a blue undertone. It's really a very unique purple that also has a shimmer to it, and the consistency is very milky, I applied 3 coats (even though I could have gotten away with 2).

Sugar Rush- For anyone who knows me or follows me on a regular basis, you probably know by now that I love blue polish! So I think this blue is absolutely gorgeous! Even though it has a semi-thin consistency, it's still pretty opaque, and I only needed to apply 2 coats of this color.

(I apologize the lighting isn't very good, I was fighting to get the last little bit of daylight when I took these photos lol).

Sweet Nothing- Another beautiful, opaque blue. I only needed to apply one coat of this color, so I think this will be a great color for stamping :)

After buying this collection and seeing other nail bloggers who bought it, I realized that the Walgreen's I bought these at didn't have Unicorn, which is the yellow color of this collection :( They had put out a different color to fill the display, so I bought Rise & Shine instead of Unicorn. I am really upset about not having the whole collection (and don't worry I will be going back to buy Unicorn as soon as I can), but Rise & Shine is a beautiful color.

(Matte Finish)

Rise & Shine- Even though this color isn't part of the Sugar Rush collection, I am happy I found it. The color is Stunning!! (Sadly, the pictures don't do this any justice, so if I get a chance soon I will try to get a better picture). The thing that makes this color so beautiful, is the shimmer it has, I immediately thought of a Mermaid's tail when I applied the color over my nails. I only needed to apply one coat and when it dried, I was surprised that it had a matte finish. This is the second polish from Sinful Colors I have bought that has dried with a matte finish, and I love it!!

So there you have it! The (almost) entire collection of Sugar Rush (+one)!! I wish you could see the shimmer in the pictures but I guess that just means you will have to go out and get the collection for yourself to see it :) I don't think anyone will complain about that :P

CHINA GLAZE & ONE STROKE

Do you love China Glaze polish? Because I don't know if I've told you or not, but my favorite brand of nail polish is China Glaze :) And I just recently bought some beautiful colors! I haven't been able to do any swatches of them yet, but that will be coming soon.

Lately I have been extremely attracted to blue polish! I think I have 6 new blue ones :S lol...wow! That happened in about a week :P My last few trips to the store I have brought back 16 polishes! (More on that later!) So because of how much I love these colors I had to try some of them out as soon as I could.

I think this design turned out a little bit messy, but I did get alot of compliments on it...so my 'perfectionist-self' had to take a back seat for the day and I decided to take some pictures. The color I chose was China Glaze, Sky High-Top and I had also bought new paint brushes and acrylic paint and wanted to try doing the One stroke design, after watching a video on YouTube. And...I will be the first one to tell you that it is not as easy as it looks! lol I need some more practice, but I will say that it is a very fun technique if you have the patience for it. So after it not quite turning out the way I was hoping, I ended up doing something a little different. I added the dots with my dotting tool and then tried to make a fun swirl design in the empty areas with black acrylic paint.

I loved this design! I didn't even have it on for a day and it chipped and one of my nails broke when I was at work :( I'm just glad I was able to get some pictures before that happened. I used Orly, Snowcone and China Glaze, Man Hunt and a stamp from my new Jumbo plates by Cheeky. When I first got the plates I was so excited! But they are so big that for awhile it was almost intimidating to try to use them. Now, I have long nail beds and some of the stamps I have don't fit on my entire nail, so big plates seemed to be exactly what I was looking for, but man I so wasn't expecting how big these ones are! So this is my second attempt at using them and I absolutely love it! Both times I have used my Jumbo plates I have used plate E...I have plate A, but that one is still a little to much lol! I'll figure it out though.

I'M BACK!!

Hey everyone! I apologize it has been a couple of weeks since I have posted anything, I was having some technical difficulties with the site I was using to edit my photos. Unfortunately, I wasn't able to figure it out on that site so I decided to edit the photos on my phone...and boy do I have alot to show you! It's a little overwhelming :P But it will be fun!

Until I'm able to get 'caught up' posting all of my designs I will be posting a few designs into one post. The first 2 designs I am going to show you I did right after my January Nail Art Challenge (and just a little teaser...I did a February Nail Art Challenge also ;) Post coming soon!). This first design is one inspired by The Nailasaurus. I found her design when I was looking at Instagram pictures, and fell in love with it! Honestly, I think her design turned out much better :P But this was a fun design.

As you can tell this design is pretty simple. I did this freehand using Ulta, In The Nude and my black striper polish.

I was really excited about this pink french mani when I had finished it! I decided to do this design because I hadn't done any french tip designs in awhile and I had some new polishes that I really wanted to use. Using my striping tape as a guide, I used O.P.I., Pink Friday and Silky Polish, Viole Serenade and then I added one coat of China Glaze, Fairy Dust to give it a little pop! I absolutely love this design because of how simple and elegant it is! When I had it on I couldn't stop staring at my hands :P

JANUARY NAIL ART CHALLENGE: DAY 31

Good morning everyone! :) Once again I apologize this post is a day late, it seems like all of the days of this challenge clashed with my work schedule :( but at least I was able to get all of the days posted :)

This week has come with a little frustration lol. I have had a few technical difficulties...today I only have one photo of Day 31 because the photos didn't turn out good on my camera, so I'm using the one I posted on Instagram. The other difficulties aren't for this post but future ones, because the site I use to edit my photos changed and doesn't have the tools I usually use, so I'm going to have to figure out what I'm going to do on that...but on a happier note, Nails!!

Day 31 is Shiny Nails :) I didn't do any art for this design, it's pretty much just a swatch, but it is sparkly!

I decided to be a little bit more creative with my photos this week and I added the polish bottle (Please fell free to tell me if you like it or not), I used to not like when people took pictures like this but I'm starting to like it, so I'm going to try it out with my future designs :)

This polish is by Ulta, called Hide and Go Sequins. It's a beautiful sheer polish, I used 3-4 coats to get this look and I really like how it looks like a jelly when it's done (I know that there are jelly polishes, but I don't think this is an actual jelly polish). I really love that the sparkles in the polish are different colors. Green, blue and silver...I think that's what really makes this polish pop!
