31 DAY NAIL ART CHALLENGE: STRIPES

If you have been following me during this 31 Day Challenge you probably noticed that today is supposed to be Animal Print...but because I got a little behind I'm posting my Stripes today....And I won't be posting my Animal Print until tomorrow :( The idea I was so excited about turned out to be an epic fail :( one that I won't even take a picture of so I'm going to completely redo them.

But on a more happy note :) Stripes!!

I really wanted to do these stripes on all of my nails but I didn't have time to do that so I decided on 2 and I love it! And I really love the colors I chose :) Every time I match a blue and yellow I have to throw a green in there as well :)

All polishes I used are China Glaze. I started with White on White as my base color, and once that dried I made my lines with striping tape. The four colors I used were Sky High-TopHappy Go LuckyDef Defying and Liquid Leather.

And just to prove that my other hands gets love too :P ...I'll see you guys tomorrow! Good night! :)

31 DAY NAIL ART CHALLENGE: POLKA DOT NAILS

Hey everyone! I apologize that I didn't post my last 2 designs on time...with this challenge it's really easy to get behind :S So I hope you'll forgive me :P

This post is for Day 11 of the 31 Day Challenge, Polka Dot Nails :) To be honest I really have never been excited about polka dots, I just don't prefer them. My mom loves them :P But today I actually do like them lol!

I wanted to try and figure out how to do something different with polka dots but I decided that instead of spending so much time trying to think of what I could do I would just use some colors I haven't had a chance to use yet :P So the colors I chose were all by Nina Ultra Pro, Punki Pink, Violet It Ride, Orange Flame and Solar Flare. I have used these colors on my mom a few times but I haven't used them on myself until now and I feel kind of bad about that...almost like my polishes have feelings hahahah. My next idea for these colors is a water marble :) I hope it works!

I know my mom absolutely loves this design and I hope you guys do too :) I would love to know what you think, so please leave a comment below! And have an awesome day!

31 DAY NAIL ART CHALLENGE: GRADIENT NAILS

Over the past few months I have really grown to love gradient/ombre nails. There are so many different looks and techniques that I will never get bored with any gradient design :P I think it's safe to say that they have become my new favorite :)

The colors I used for this design were Sinful Colors, Sugar N Spice, Cotton Candy and Ulta, Baby Doll. I chose to do this design because I have seen it somewhere before (not sure where :S ) and I really like it so I thought I would give it a try. I would even like to try out more colors :) Possibly every color!

I did kind of rush myself with this design today because I only had an hour to do my nails, and although it did turn out very pretty I feel like if I took my time it could have turned out better :P ...but that's just my perfectionist-self talking hahaha. I know some people would probably tell me to not beat myself up so much but I don't look at it that way. I'm glad that I'm kind of a perfectionist when it comes to my nails...otherwise I wouldn't have any reason to get better. I have high standards when it comes to My nails and I'm grateful for it :P

Once again I hope you guys enjoyed this design and I will see you again tomorrow! :)

31 DAY NAIL ART CHALLENGE: RAINBOW NAILS

Hello everyone! I'm really excited about today's design :) I had this design randomly pop into my head a few weeks ago so I decided to try it out and it's so much better than I expected!! :)

Before I show you the actual design I wanted to show you the base colors.

I decided to go with a Pastel Rainbow look instead of bright colors and I'm glad I did :) After I put a top coat on I fell in love with this so I decided to take some pictures before I painted over it. Good idea huh!? :P

So back to what I was saying about this design popping into my head...I remember one morning I was making my bed and I had this random nail design pop into my head so I grabbed my phone and opened my notes to write it down, otherwise I would have forgotten. I am so glad I did that because I love this design!!

The colors I used for this were (from the thumb to pinky) Sinful Colors, Orange Cream, Silky Polish, Tussah Sunglow, Sinful Colors, Innocent, Essie, Borrowed & Blue, Sinful Colors, Sweet Tooth and then finishing with Orange Cream again.

I free handed all of the shapes using a small nail art brush and black acrylic paint and then used a dotting tool to add the white and black dots. But the thing that really pulled this design together was my top coat of Seche Vite! :)

I hope you guys like this design as much as I do :) Thank you so much for checking out my post! Please leave any questions or comments below if you have them! :)

31 DAY NAIL ART CHALLENGE: METALLIC NAILS

So I have to admit that I have never been crazy about Day 8 of this challenge. I don't really like metallic  polish or anything on myself...on other people I do like it. But for some reason it's just not my thing. So instead of using polish I decided to use my striping tape :)

This design is super simple. I used China Glaze, Liquid Leather and 5 different colors of striping tape that I ordered from Amazon :)

If you haven't tried using striping tape before I think you should try it at least twice. The reason I say that is because my first time using striping tape I hated it :P lol but I decided to give it another chance...and the second time was better. Striping tape is tricky because you have to cut the end of the tape a little bit before the edge of the nail otherwise the tape will start to lift. You definitely need patience when using striping tape. I prefer not to use striping tape as my design, but for helping me make straight lines. Overall though, I do really like how this one turned out :)
