RAIN CITY LACQUER SPRING COLLECTION

Happy Hump Day! :P I hope everyone is having a great week! Mine is going well and I am having a great day so far. It's a beautiful sunny day and I thought it would be a great time to share with you a new Spring Collection from my friend Rica at Rain City Lacquer.

I was sent 6 of the 7 polishes that are included in this Spring Collection and I think Rica did an amazing job! I am very impressed with this line! :)

**These polishes were sent to me for review. Please see my Disclosure Policy located in the tabs above.**

Beach Blossom, Green Grotto, Rainbow Reef, Moonlit Waves, Siren's Song and Mermaid's Melody.

Up first is Beach Blossom. This is a pastel orange crelly polish filled with neon pink hearts, matte pastel glitters in various shapes, sizes and colors, plus purple holo hex glitters. I wasn't sure if I would like this one because it is a very unique color, but I do love it! Being that this is a pastel orange, the color didn't really look great with my skin tone, but I didn't really care because the glitters are so cute!

The glitters did slide a bit when I was applying this polish, but not so bad. It's completely opaque in 3 coats and I didn't really need to do any glitter placement with this polish (which is impressive) but I did anyway just because there were a few spots I wanted to place some of the white glitters.

Rainbow Reef is a fun mix of neon hex glitters with a touch of holo hexes in a pink base. It was completely opaque with 2-3 coats. I did have to fish for the big glitters which did get a little frustrating, but the overall look is so dang cute that I didn't mind so much :P

Green Grotto is my absolute favorite of the entire collection! I LOVE IT!! …I really can't even describe how much I love this polish :P It's a bright green pastel cream with micro blue and teal flakes. It's almost completely opaque with 1 coat, minus a few sheer streaks, so 2 coats is perfect. The formula is great, it dries pretty fast…the only semi-bad thing about this polish is that there are a few chunks of teal that when applied on the nail will streak (you can see that in the macro shot above). Although some people may not like that, I did not mind. I think it just adds to the polish :) …Did I say how much I love this one?? ;)

(If you didn't see my previous post on my St. Patrick's Day Design, you can see this color in action with a fun Clover stamp over the top!)

Moonlit Waves (insert googley eyes here :P) is a periwinkle blue crelly polish, loaded with holo gold and silver glitters. This is 3 coats and it was for the most part opaque…4 coats might have been a little bit better, but either way I love it! I don't have any periwinkle blues… :S ?? How is that possible right!? Idk how, but I don't…until this one. I really like the gold and silver glitters in this one, and what was really nice is I did not have to do any glitter placement.

This beauty is Siren's Song, a deep magenta/pink polish with micro pink glitters, along with holo pink glitters in a red jelly base. I used 3 coats for opacity, although 2 was very pretty, it was just a little sheer. I do really like this polish, the only thing I didn't like was the clean up because of all of the tiny holo glitters.

And last up is Mermaid's Melody. This is a vibrant mix of micro teal and blue glitters along with holo glitters in a blue jelly base. It's pretty much the same formula as Siren's Song, just blue. I used 3-4 coats and I was slightly impatient while applying this polish just because I was getting tired, so I got frustrated with this one…again because of the holos :P They're gorgeous, just a pain in the butt to clean up. Also because of my impatient-ness the layers got kind of thick…but that wasn't a problem with the polish itself, that was all my mistake. This is a gorgeous blue polish!

Overall I absolutely love this collection! It will be released April 4th for those of you who would like to get your hands on it. Again it does consist of 7 colors…idk what the 7th one looks like but I'm sure its fabulous :P The entire set is $56, individual bottles will be priced at $10. I'm not sure if Rica is going to be doing presales or not, but you should definitely follow her on Facebook and Instagram to keep up to date on the release of this line :) Also check out her website (listed below) for more goodies!
